Hollywood Shockwaves: Justin Baldoni Sues Blake Lively & Ryan Reynolds for $400 Million

In a plot twist straight out of a high-stakes drama, actor-director Justin Baldoni has filed a jaw-dropping $400 million lawsuit against Hollywood power couple Blake Lively and Ryan Reynolds, along with their publicist Leslie Sloan. The case—filed under allegations of civil extortion, defamation, and invasion of privacy—has sent shockwaves through the entertainment world.

The center of the storm? The upcoming film It Ends with Us, based on Colleen Hoover’s best-selling novel. Baldoni, who is both directing and starring in the film, claims that Lively attempted to wrest creative control and, when unsuccessful, launched a smear campaign against him. According to court documents, Lively accused Baldoni of "creating a toxic work environment"—allegations he has vehemently denied.

In a bold legal move, Baldoni alleges that the power couple and their PR rep tried to silence him by threatening his reputation and career. The lawsuit portrays a behind-the-scenes power struggle, calling out what Baldoni describes as a “coordinated and malicious” attempt to derail the project and ruin his image.

Insiders say tensions between the two parties have been simmering for months, with creative disagreements reportedly turning personal. Lively, known for her polished public persona, has yet to respond to the claims directly. Reynolds, who has a stake in the project’s production, has also remained silent as legal teams gear up for what could be one of Hollywood’s most explosive court battles in years.
